Our Pastor
After five and half years without a Pastor, Ben Holmes was voted in as our Pastor at the members AGM on 29th June 2009. Ben has been a church member at Holbrooks for over 10 years, our youth leader for several years and a deacon since 2007. He is married to Liz who is the granddaughter of one of our previous ministers - Ivor Owens. Ben's own father is the minister of Rock of Ages Evangelical Church near Doncaster.
Ben who is a qualified plumbing and heating engineer gave up his job in June 2008 in answer to a call to the ministry. At the end of September 2008 Ben started a full time course at London Theological Seminary (LTS). Ben does not complete his Bible college course at LTS until June 2010 and will not be officially inducted until after he finishes his studies. Meanwhile he will slowly ease into his new role here with his wife Liz and three children, Leah (7), Chloe (5) and Zak (2).
