I have been going to Holbrooks Evangelical Church since I was very young.  I have always enjoyed going church, have enjoyed church life and especially going to Sunday School and the Youth.  I was taught from an early age that attending church, living a good life or going to the youth group will not get you to heaven.  I knew I needed to put my life right before God and ask Christ to forgive me.

At the age of 13 I became very aware that I was a sinner and that I was going to Hell unless I asked Jesus to forgive me of my sins.  So one night in July 2004 I asked Christ to forgive me and I knew I had been forgiven.  I did not tell many about what had happened in my life and looking back I realise that I should have done. 

Just after our church camp in 2005 I became very ill and ended up with pneumonia.  I was off school for a long time and all my sporting activities came to a halt.  While I was in this condition and feeling very weak I considered my walk before God, although I knew that I was forgiven I also knew that I was not living as I ought.  It was during my illness I resolved to change my ways and although I still let him down through Christ's help I try hard to please Him.
