Christianity Explored

In September 2006 we ran our first Christianity Explored course for 6 consecutive weeks which was very successful.  On 26th September 2007 we decided to run the full 10 week course which was a blessing to us all too. The course is now finished but we will from time to time in the future run it again.  This course is specifically designed for those who want to know more about Christianity and the Bible and is totally free of any cost.  The course is run in our Church hall and is as informal as possible in a relaxed environment.  Participants do not need to come to Church to attend this course or to have any knowledge of Christianity or the Bible.  We encourage each participant to come with a friend who already attends our church, anyone wanting to come on their own will be most welcome too.

Each evening begins with a sit down meal where each one will have opportunity to get to know other participants as well as those who are members of our church.   A short presentation is given on the first evening outlining the course, each participant is given a new Bible and copy of the course notes which they can keep.  This is followed by a 15 to 20 minute video and an informal discussion on each table.  The course is centred around the gospel of Mark in the New Testament which has 16 chapters.  Each week the participants are asked to read 2 or 3 chapters from the book of Mark before the following weeks course.  Each week will follow the same format as the first, except after the first week a presentation and discussion will take place before the video about the chapters read by the participants in the previous weeks.

Whilst each participant will have opportunity to ask any question they want, they will not be asked to read aloud, sing or pray or do anything in public.  We want all to feel welcome and do not want to embarrass anyone.  Should you want to know more about future courses, then please do talk to one of the Church members or send us an e-mail enquiry on our contact page.
